The Low Volume Eye Dropper (LVED) is a pen we developed to mitigate or remove completely the bad traits of many eyedropper-fill pens. The small ink chamber holds approximately 1.5ml of ink- more than a standard cartridge converter, but not so much that the air expansion would cause burping of ink or inconsistent flow.
This one is made of transparent cast acrylic, with an olive green resin grip section and a Crazy Fiber Micarta cap.
PLEASE NOTE: Micarta is a porous material that will patina over time. This means that it is also prone to staining, as there are exposed cotton fibers in the resin. Some users, especially in dry climates, may notice some amount of nib dry-out because of the porous nature of the material. Rinsing the inside of the cap with water can help alleviate this tendency for a few days. Micarta is also very durable and can be washed with soap and water as needed.
Eyedropper only- Silicone grease should be applied to the section threads before filling.
*I will include a small container of silicone grease with your order.
Max diameter of cap: 17.2mm
Grip section diameter: 11.5mm-12.9mm
14mm thread size with JoWo #6 nib size of your choice (EF, F, M) included. I am running low on nibs in stock, sorry for the inconvenience. If you don’t need a nib, but you didn’t put in the discount code, feel free to send me a message right after you order so that I can give you a partial refund for what you don’t need.
